"Nixon, Croft and Goretti" is a jazz piano trio dedicated to original compositions, as demonstrated by their 2 albums, IN CONGRUENCE (2021) and OUTSIDE AGITATORS (2024). The group features pianist/composer Andrew Nixon, bassist Ed Croft and drummer Joe Goretti.
Born in 1983, Andrew Nixon is a graduate of the the University of Buffalo, where he earned a masters degree in music theory in 2012. He is also a former student of Paul Hofmann (MHRRecords, Eastman School of Music).

A glowingly lyrical player, who never plays two notes when one will do, Nixon brings a relaxed swing to the nine diverse originals on the album. If he reminds you of any pianist it is likely to be Bill Evans in his prime, although there are glancing references to Chick Corea and Sonny Clark.
